AUDI SPORT SERVICING – DONE PROPERLY
A standard Audi A4 oil service uses around 4.5 litres of oil. An RS4 needs 9.7 litres. An R8 V10 takes a full 10 litres. The cost difference isn’t markup — it’s the actual lubricant your engine needs to perform and stay reliable.
Every RS and R8 service we carry out follows Audi’s specific schedule for that model and engine. We use the correct oil grade for the engine — 0W-30 for the five-cylinder TFSI in the RS3, RS Q3 and TT RS, 5W-30 for the V8 and V10 platforms — supplied to full Audi specification. Filter sets vary by model, with most V8 and V10 RS variants requiring twin air filters and, on some models, twin pollen filters and dual fuel filters.
Where applicable, we also update your digital Audi service record, log the service against your VIN, and reset all relevant service intervals through the diagnostic system.

DRC Suspension Service & Replacement
The Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) suspension fitted to RS4 B7, RS6 C6 and earlier RS variants uses interconnected hydraulic dampers. They’re known for failure as the cars age — symptoms include knocking, leaking fluid and a softer ride. We diagnose, service and replace DRC components using OEM and uprated alternatives.
S-tronic & DCT Gearbox Servicing
RS3, RS4 B9, RS5 B9, RS6 C7/C8, RS7, RS Q3 and TT RS all use S-tronic dual-clutch transmissions. These need a proper oil and filter service every 40,000–50,000 miles to prevent mechatronic failure and clutch pack damage. Our gearbox oil service covers the full S-tronic range.
Walnut Blasting for TFSI Carbon Build-Up
Direct-injection TFSI engines on the RS3 (2.5 TFSI), RS4/RS5 B9 (2.9 TFSI V6) and RS6/RS7 (4.0 TFSI V8) accumulate carbon on the back of the intake valves. Symptoms include rough idle, misfires and lost performance. Our walnut blasting service removes the deposits without dismantling the engine and restores the responsiveness Audi Sport built in.
Performance Remapping
We carry out Audi RS remapping and tuning on the bench or via OBD, releasing the headroom Audi leaves on the table for emissions and worldwide market compatibility. Custom maps available for RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7, RS Q3, RS Q8 and TT RS.
Carbon Ceramic Brake Inspection
RS6, RS7, RS Q8 and R8 models often run with optional carbon ceramic brakes. These need careful inspection and specialist handling. We check disc thickness, pad wear and caliper function — and advise on replacement timing before performance is compromised.
Brake Fluid Service

No. Under UK and EU Block Exemption Regulations, having your Audi RS serviced at an independent specialist like Langs Automotive does not void your manufacturer warranty — provided the service follows Audi’s schedule, uses genuine or OEM-equivalent parts to Audi specification, and is properly recorded. We update the digital Audi service record exactly as a main dealer would.
The cost difference is genuine, not markup. An RS3 takes 7.1 litres of 0W-30 oil. An RS4 takes 9.7 litres of 5W-30. An R8 V10 takes 10 litres. Most V8 and V10 RS models also need twin air filters and dual pollen or fuel filters. The labour content is similar to a standard Audi service — it’s the parts and lubricants that drive the higher price.
