A modern Volvo runs on a network of control units, from engine and gearbox management to the safety systems and infotainment. A generic code reader only sees part of it. Our dealer-grade equipment lets us:

Common Volvo faults we fix
Carbon build-up on direct-injection petrols
Direct-injection petrol engines build up carbon on the back of the intake valves, causing rough running, misfires and poorer economy. Walnut blasting clears it and gets the engine running smoothly again.
Geartronic gearbox shift quality
Harsh, slow or flaring shifts on Geartronic automatics are often down to old, worn oil. We recommend a gearbox oil service about every 50,000 miles to keep the shifts smooth.
DPF, EGR & AdBlue on diesels
Volvo diesels that spend most of their life on short journeys can block the DPF, stick the EGR valve or throw AdBlue warnings, sometimes with reduced power. We diagnose properly, then clean, regenerate or replace as needed.
AWD coupling servicing
All-wheel-drive Volvos use a coupling to send drive to the rear wheels. Its oil and filter are easily forgotten, and neglect can lead to the car losing drive to the back axle. We check and service it as part of looking after an AWD car.
12V battery & electrical warnings
Modern Volvos are full of electronics, and a weak 12V battery can bring up a string of unrelated warnings, from start-stop faults to safety-system messages. Our vehicle diagnostics separate a tired battery from a genuine fault.
Uneven tyre wear on heavy SUVs
Heavier SUVs like the XC60 and XC90 can wear their tyres quickly if the alignment is out. Laser wheel alignment protects your tyres and keeps the car tracking straight.

As a nervous user of garages (due to past poor experiences), I was pleasantly surprised about the high level of service Rob Lang provided with our Mk6 Golf GTD, which wouldn't start, and was marooned on our driveway. He had it recovered to his premises within hours, and his technician diagnosed and solved several electrical problems, plus he gave it a full service and MOT (and valet). It now drives like when it was new and so will be reprieved. Rob then delivered the car to our house because we couldn't collect it for several days more. We can't thank him enough. His prices are fair and much better than a main dealer I suspect (and very importantly he kept us in the loop).

What a breath of fresh air! Having a problem with Audi RS6 suspension and when I called Rob Lang he booked me in same day to investigate. They identified the problem and also gave the car a good general inspection while it was up on the lift. Super friendly, very knowledgeable and I will be happy to get future routine servicing done by Langs from now on.

Having just purchased an Iveco Daily van that had a few issues that needed to be rectified, I used an Iveco dealership who surprisingly did not completely fix the problems.
